Gas, food you can dock at, public launches, marinas, and the no-wake marks that actually matter on this 29-mile reservoir. Confirm fuel and hours before you run empty — pumps come and go with the season.

Buoys & no-wake pins mark zones from Lake safety, not businesses.

Gas on the lake
Marine fuel, not the station on the highway. Call the dock before you count on a pump — some years a marina has gas, some years it doesn’t. If you sell fuel on the water, list it.
Boating season roughly May–October. Reserve rentals early.
Northwest-shore full-service marina, formerly Thompson’s / Northampton Marine, on the water since 1952. Sales, docks, fuel, rentals, storage, ship’s store. A common staging point f…

Food you can dock at
Tie up, eat, leave a tab on the lake — not a parking lot. Courtesy docks fill on Saturday. Hours are summer hours.
Summer hours; often open in winter too. Call ahead.
Lanzi-family waterfront pub on the west side of the lake. Dock the boat, sit the patio, and eat Italian-American pub food with a view. Live music and a sports-bar crowd in season.…
Another Lanzi waterfront, looking over Mussels Harbor at the south end. Indoor dining plus the Channel Bar — the outdoor bar people mean when they say they’re “at Lakeside.” Courte…
Lunch and dinner, summer and winter. Confirm hours.
The more dressed-up Lanzi kitchen: Italian family recipes, steaks, seafood, and a lake view. Courtesy docks. A reservation place on holiday weekends, not a grab-a-table-in-flip-flo…
Seasonal. Do not assume a September weeknight is open.
Seasonal lakeside bar, restaurant, and marina at the south end. People arrive by car, motorcycle, and boat. When it’s open, it’s open; when the season ends, the lights are out.

Public launches
Hard ramps with trailer parking. Free, busy on July weekends, and not a substitute for knowing the water.
Open for the boating season; winter ice access is a different, unofficial story — check conditions.
Hard-surface public launch off Route 30 with parking for about 60 cars and trailers. Accessible. Free to use; busy on Saturdays in July. Also a reasonable shore-fishing start.
DEC hard-surface launch about three miles northeast of the village on CR-110. Parking for about 60 cars and trailers. South-basin start for walleye and pike.
Hard ramp on North Shore Road in Saratoga County with parking for about 40 cars and trailers. The north-end public launch — closer to deeper, cooler water.
Different waterbody than Great Sacandaga. Check which one you actually meant.
Ramp on Stewart’s Pond, the reservoir immediately downstream of the Conklingville Dam — not the main lake. People mix them up. Pike and smallmouth in moving water near the inflow.
DEC campground on the northwest corner: pines and hardwoods, sandy shoreline, guarded swim in season, hard-surface launch, day-use for people not camping. Books out for July weeken…

Buoys, bridges, no-wake
Great Sacandaga is a reservoir. Levels move, stumps come and go, and the shoreline in October is not the shoreline in July. NYS rule: no vessel over 5 mph within 100 feet of shore. Stay out of marked swim areas. PWC may not run between sunset and sunrise.
💡 Local tip
Water levels shift what these marks mean. Check the current elevation before running an unfamiliar shore — see Lake safety for the HRBRRD link.
No-wake · Northville
Northville Bridge — no-wake
Extra no-wake at the Northville Bridge. 5 mph within 100 feet of any shore on this lake.
No-wake · Batchellerville
Batchellerville Bridge — no-wake
Extra no-wake at the Batchellerville Bridge. Watch the wind on the open water just beyond.
Stay out of the swim area · Mayfield
Mayfield Town Beach — swim buoys
Marked swim area off Burr Road. Stay out of the buoys. Beach itself is closed Monday and Tuesday even in July.
Stay out of the swim area · Northampton
Northampton Beach — swim buoys
DEC campground beach. Boats stay outside the marked swim area. Busy on holiday weekends.

Image suggestion — A bridge or channel marker buoy on the lake with a no-wake sign visible, calm water around it.

Know the water before you launch it.
This map only works if it stays accurate — gas that ran out, a marina that closed, a launch that’s now private. Tell us what’s changed.
