Northville–Placid Trail (southern start)Verified
The 136-mile Adirondack trail starts at the arch / DEC kiosk on South Main in Northville (parking behind, register at the kiosk). Section 1 runs through Sacandaga Park on a road walk before the woods. You do not have to hike to Lake Placid — plenty of people just walk the first stretch.
